Do one thing to keep the glow, this party season

Night time skincare routine
Keep the glow this party season

It’s that time of year again… party season… late nights, not enough sleep, not enough water, over-indulgence, and skin ending up looking lacklustre. We don’t have enough time for lengthy skincare routines, face masks, or facials, and all our finances are going towards having fun and presents for loved ones, with not a lot left for expensive skincare products. We’ve spent months caring for our skin, only to see it looking a little grey, blotchy, puffy, and in need of a month off from everything. All we want to do is keep the glow. Sound familiar?

STICK TO YOUR NIGHT TIME SKINCARE ROUTINE

If there is one thing you can do to help skin during party season, then don’t skip your night time skincare routine. It is OK to streamline it, but don’t skip it altogether. Removing all your makeup and applying a face oil is the simplest way to ensure your skin doesn’t suffer as much during party season. You will save time and money in the long run by not having to fix lacklustre skin. Prevention is definitely better than cure in this case. And still do this if you don’t wear makeup. Skin needs to be cleansed of the day’s pollution and grime for it to remain healthy.

KEEP THE GLOW THIS PARTY SEASON

OK we know that drinking plenty of water and making sure we get our full eight hours of sleep are also necessary to keep the glow, but when sleep is in short supply it is easy to face-plant into our beds after a long day / late night, and skip taking off our makeup or cleansing skin. It is just two steps – wash face or cleanse with some micellar water + slather on a night oil or a night cream. Then welcome in the ZZZ’s. Your skin will thank you for it, and you’ll need fewer face masks and products to counteract the effects of sleeping in your makeup (blocked pores, dry skin, mascara goop insides eyes and eyelids, puffiness under-eyes, lacklustre skin, etc). Happy party season :).
