Spotlight on ingredients in our face oil

All ingredients are 100% natural and, where possible, organic. 15 years of using these oils has led to a blend that is designed to keep skin supple and youthful.

Organic sweet almond oil¹ – seals in moisture & strengthens skin

Sweet almond oil is popular amongst those with sensitive and dry skin. It is high in oleic acid, which is absorbed well by skin, and is more suitable for drier skins due to it being richer and thicker, which can better seal in moisture. It has a rich vitamin profile – A, B1, B2, B6,  and D – which work to strengthen skin. Our organic sweet almond oil is from Spain.

Rosehip oil – a natural retinol

Rosehip oil is one of the few oils which has been clinically proven² to increase skin moisture, elasticity, and reduce wrinkles. The high vitamin A content (Trans-retinoic acid – a natural retinol) assists with cell regeneration and increases levels of collagen and elastin, helping scars to fade. The high linoleic and linolenic acid content makes the oil thinner, yet still able to nourish and protect. Sensitive and dry skins are soothed by this oil. Our rosehip fruit oil is from France.

Marula seed oil – Africa’s beauty secret

Dubbed the ‘miracle oil’, marula seed oil works hard to keep skin looking youthful. High in anti-oxidants to protect against damaging free radicals, and oleic acid to seal in moisture. Vitamins C and E work together to improve skin tone, firmness, and elasticity, whilst softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Our marula seed oil is from South Africa.

Moringa seed oil – powerful anti-oxidant

Moringa seed oil cleanses whilst it moisturises, due to its anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties – an unusual combination, but one that is suitable for skins prone to breakouts or with enlarged pores. Over 70% oleic acid makes this a very penetrative oil, getting into the deeper layers of skin, and can help heal scars. Our moringa seed oil is from Africa.

Pomegranate seed oil – promotes skin regeneration

Pomegranate seed oil has been found to stimulate the cells in the epidermis and promote its regeneration³, which boosts skin tone, fades fines lines, and revitalises the skin. It may even help reverse skin damage. A high ellagic acid content means it is also a punchy anti-oxidant, helping to fend off damaging free radicals, which will also help keep skin looking young. Health and elasticity of the skin is renewed. Our pomegranate seed oil is from Europe.

Jasmine flower extract – rejuvenates skin

Jasmine essential oil aids skin elasticity, balances the moisture in skin to help reduce dryness or greasiness, and can fade scars left by a breakout. Plus the smell itself has the power to release feel-good brain chemicals, boosting energy and confidence. Our jasmine essential oil is from Egypt.

Bulgarian rose flower extract – refines skin texture

Traditionally used to reduce redness and calm the skin, Bulgarian rose essential oil is an astringent and an emollient; rapidly reducing redness, and increasing moisture retention to deeply hydrate skin, it works to refine skin texture. Our rose essential oil is from Bulgaria.

Vitamin E – a natural anti-oxidant

Our Vitamin E is 100% natural, extracted from the soy bean. It is a natural anti-oxidant, and helps ensure the essential oils do not oxidise when in contact with the air. It is a legal requirement to include Vitamin E in natural skincare blends, and we have chosen to use the natural version of it.

Cold pressed

All our oils, except essential oils, are cold pressed, which means the oils retains their goodness.  No solvents have been used to extract the oils (solvents can sometimes remain in the oil, thereby causing impurities and allergies).
