While some think that by cleansing in the morning we are removing an essential level of protection which comes from natural oils and dead skin cells, we believe that if you use the best products for your skin type and pay attention to what your skin is telling you, cleansing in the morning can enable you to support skin processes rather than disrupting or preventing them. WHY CLEANSE YOUR SKIN IN THE MORNING
Perhaps the most important reason to cleanse your skin when you get up is that overnight, dirt and oil build up as our hair, hands, pillowcases and duvets come into contact with our skin. Many of us jump straight into our application routines, unaware that by adding straight to our skin, we are transferring dead skin cells and bacteria onto our brushes/fingertips, spreading this across our face/neck and ultimately clogging pores which can lead to breakouts. By incorporating a cleanser into your routine first thing, unwanted particles and dry skin will be thoroughly cleansed away and you’ll be left with skin that feels fresh, ready to absorb the morning’s moisturiser and prepared for any makeup you plan to apply. WHAT ABOUT SKIN BEING MORE EXPOSED TO ENVIRONMENTAL TOXINS?
